Exchange Vs Mail, no connexion Options

j'ai un powerbook g4 867 sur lequel je fais de la musique, surtout sur os9. comme pleinde gens je n'en vit pas donc je travaille aussi, dans une société dont le réseau microsoft exchange compte 100 pc et un mac, le mien (au travail X.2.3). pas de problèmes pour surfer, pas de pb pour me connecter aux partages des pc.
par contre il m'est impossible de récupérer mes mails avec "mail", que ce soit avec wanadoo, hotmail ou l'adresse de la boite. j'ai vérifié 20 fois les configs de connexion, comptes et pare feu et rien n'y fait, j'obtiens toujours la même erreur : "impossible de se connecter sur le serveur wanadoo/hotmail/la boite par le port 110". je remercie d'avance susceptible de m'aider, de m'encourager ou de me consoler.

ya effectivement un gros firewall, mais il bloquerait que le mac ???
j'ai aussi un pc, aucun pb (je peux aller en webmail sur hotmail) et surtout je peux downolader mes mails sur outlook. mais moi, j'm en fous ! ce qui m'interesse c'est de le faire avec mon aluminium.
sur un forum apple un gentil américain m'a donné les infos suivantes:

"My suggestion is to check with your administrator of your network and get your exact local domain (if applicable), login name, and password for your account at EACH location. You must authenticate on that server. So let's take your work. If there are 100 pc's and one mac, you still have to authenticate just like the PC's. Therefore, your incoming mail server might be: mail.company.com, but your user name might have to include a domain such as: accountingyourname instead of just using: yourname
So make sure there is not a domain name (like MASTER) that must be included to address the mail server.
Lastly, (and this would only affect outgoing mail) be sure and check to make sure your server requires authentication. You would then need to include your name and password again when setting up the outgoing mail server for your work. You should then use that outgoing mail server for ALL your accounts when sending out mail. Most outgoing mail servers will not let your relay to them to send out mail. "
