My translation smile.gif

New on this forum, and an amateur musician ,
I wish to use my imac G4 flat panel to compose of the modern chant (not virtual), and accompany of acoustic (guitar, piano), electronic (synth) and virtual drums:
- > this possible with a mac
- > if so, I suppose that I need:
- a microphone with USB cable or other: can you say what available ?
- I would like to find a sampler, that is to say; on a traditional synth (or one in the synths with sampler today; like YAMAHA DX7, without sampler, but the original on the level creation of sounds...), or then does there exist about it a virtual sampler which would connect just the microphone above?
- > finally, which is the virtual recorder multitrack most intuitive to combine these different inputs (physical & virtual instruments): I have examine Harmony assistance, and it seems to to me that it is not possible to record sequences (ex: guitar)
thank you for your reponses

Hey Pierre...do you have any audio equipment at all?

You mac has audio ports built in. I've never used that model and I don't know if they work well or not. But if they do and you have some gear (microphone & preamp) already you could try Pro Tools FREE to see if you like it. It's OS 9 only, so you'd have to boot and install that way.
