I have some exs instruments that I have bought, but I have no idea, how to get them to my Logic 8. I copyed the files to hdd/users/my user/library/application support/logic/sampler instruments, but they don't show up in Logic virtual intruments folder.

Hi Manchoa,
All of the .exs files are your Instrument files. They go in one folder for each particular Instrument package. When you buy another package, take the .exs files from that package, and place them in a new folder, with the name of that Instrument. I place these files where you mentioned in your original letter (users/my user...Sampler Instruments). When you buy another instrument package, take the .exs files from that package, and place them in a folder with the name of that Instrument. The .wav files are usually in a folder just called Samples. Just add the name of your .exs Instrument file folder before Samples. For example, if your .exs files are called Acoustic Guitar 1, just name your .wav files Acoustic Guitar 1 Samples, and place it in any other drive. This will help you keep track of which .exs files go with which .wav files on your other drive. However, to help keep things organized with your .wav Samples, create a master folder on your other drive. I just called this folder EXS Samples Folder. Each new Instrument Samples folder is placed in this master folder, and your .exs Instrument Folders are in your users/my user... Sampler Instruments Folder. I hope that this makes sense. Take care Manchoa. Lucace2002 |
