I have some exs instruments that I have bought, but I have no idea, how to get them to my Logic 8. I copyed the files to hdd/users/my user/library/application support/logic/sampler instruments, but they don't show up in Logic virtual intruments folder.

Hi Manchoa,

You are on the right track. What you do now, is leave the Instruments in this folder, where it is. Now, create a new folder, and place the Samples into it. I always give this folder the exact same name as the Instruments Folder, and add Samples to this name. You can save this folder on any drive. I saved mine on an external firewire drive. I made a separate folder for all of my EXS Samples called EXS Samples. When you open Logic, and the EXS, click the refresh prompt. You may have to point the Instruments to the Samples, but I don't think we have to, with the later versions. Hope this helps. Have fun, and enjoy the Holiday Season. All the best in the New Year too.
