Hello,
I have the following problem using LogicAudio5 and an Audiosport Quattro USB Interface on a G4 Mac (OS9.2.2):
After starting LogicAudio the Asio driver cannot be detected, allthough it´s in its place in the Emagic ASIO Folder. I tried several re-installations using the newest driver available, still it won´t work.
I have output over the interface using itunes, but not with a LogicAudio demo song.

Any ideas what´s wrong?

Forgive me but this is a request for similar advice, not so much a reply.
My problem - I am buying a new ibook and need an audio interface with multiple outs. Can't afford firewire so am looking at the Quattro or the EMI 2/6. I will be using OS9.2 or similar for music and Cubase VST 5.1 as this is the system I teach on in college. The ibook will be for recording, producing and performing live with the multiple outs to permit me to use effects like my Alesis AirFX etc via a small mixer. I'll also be using the interface to record audio though probably no more than 2 channels at once. In addition, I need MIDI i/o so the quattro is rather appealling as a complete solution. I do know however that the midisport 2x2 doesn't work with an ibook running OS9.2 and Cubase VST 5.0 so I'm concerned about Midiman products though I still use an M-Audio Delta 44 with a 9500 with great results!
I've tried to search the archives for relevant info but I'm still in a quandry. I've read about 'infamous CPU overload spikes' with the EMI which is worrying. Any feedback from this excellent forum would be greatly appreciated as I'm keen to get the ibook with dual boot possibilty before Christmas and operational at the same time.
I'd echo the responses of others who've suggested a modest subscription for your forums as I use them extensively in my education research.
Many thanks, Karina Townsend.
