 Help Adding Roland Keyboard To Presonus Firebox |

hi all,
I just got a Presonus Firebox for my Logic Express and couldn't be happier with guitar usage. I need help with my keyboard hook up. It is a Roland E-35 synth with midi out , no usb as it's a few years old. I want to use this as a controller to get Logic sounds. The Firebox comes with a cable SPDIF cable with 2 midi ( female) plugs as well as 2 phono ends ( also female). Would a simple midi cable ) male on both ends) connecting the midi out on Roland to the midi in on the SPDIF cable work?
Anyother tips would be great .

dannymangold@gmail.com As for as i know thats the only way you can play logic sound using firebox only other way is using a usb midi interface along with your firebox i hope i help
