Hey guys i am going to go portable .....
I have rosetta 200 , apogee and symphony card , Great rivers Mp2nv mic preamp , and i am monitering through a central station and i can get the mobile symphony ... and make that portable..... but i am tossing up weather or not to just sell it . and get a digi 003r and a Little compressor , a UA UAD card expander , and just get a novation midi controller , a alfa track , does anyone know if i can dasiy chain my laptop the uad card and the moble system . does anyone know how good the digi 003 r is if its still good and the latency is ok i might as well just sell all this gear its to much shit . Dave any help would be great dave |

digi 003, as far as i have seen, doesn't make a major difference from digi 002 rack.
the sample rates go only upto 96 khz ( same ) 4 mic inputs with phantom power ( same ) 8 in 8 out, adat, spdif 1 midi in 2 midi out ( same ) the only difference they have made is, they added one additional headphone port in the front and they just put it in a brand new box. i am using digi 002 rack with mac pro. it sometimes hangs up! without any reason, leaving my logic behind!! so if you are trying to run protools and all, digi is good. for using other softies with core audio, rethink. also, what i would say is, it takes real daring to compare apogee and digi conversions! apogee is far better than digi engine. take care! |
