i am trying to use the motu 828 in reason and i am having trouble activating all 8 outputs. i have posted in numerous places about this problem but no one has yet been able to help me solve it. most people ive talked to about this issue tell me that all they do is go to the audio hardware setup menu under the reason preferences menu and click to activate the individual outs... i have looked repeatedly and never found an option like this. i own an audiowerk 8 card made by emagic which has 8 outs and i have no problem getting those activated. the 828 is a different story. i dont actually own my own 828, i have to use the one at the studio i go to. i did download the driver off of motu's website, i wonder if there is some kind of problem because i dont own my own 828. anyway, if there is anyone with any kind of info of a similar problem please help me out. i have session tomorrow that relies the 828 to work.

I also don't have an 828, I have the2408 biggrin.gif but I wonder if you are using the right driver? Motu provide two. One which allows soundmanager to route it's two outputs to the pair you specify on the soundcard (called PCI-324 Sound Mgr Driver on my setup, it's an extension), thus only giving you access to a total of two outputs under soundmanager.

And the other -the ASIO driver, which sould be placed in Reasons own ASIO folder in order that it can have access to all the ports on the 828. If you installed reason after the Motu it may not have been supplied by the Motu installer with the drivers it needs.

Check if you have the ASIO driver in your sequencers ASIO folder, presumably this works ok?, and move a copy of it to the Reaktor ASIO folder (if it's not already present there). It should now be available in the AUDIO preferences panel.

Just a thought... smile.gif
