Hi there!
I have a big problem with Firewire 410! The MOST important thing about it-->audio recordind/mic preamps, is "falling down"! WHY????......couse: I expected that this device to record very clear audio tracks, so I to be able to gain them software WITHOUT the big noise gathered with it.... So, I've got a Studio Projects B1 microphone that works perfectely with Fast Track Pro preamps(even when GAIN KNOBS are max pozition), BUT with Firewire 410 it's almost exactely vice versa: --When I recording it or even I talk to the mic with gain, THIS GAIN has a tinkle sound signal gathered with my speaking/recording....this stuff behave like would be the device signal-to- noise "quality";[/b] [b]--I made all tests I could (Cubase SX2 audio, Sony Sound Forge, Cakewalk, even real time talking), but all the same---looks like "its higher quality signal sound"!!! I tested with another mic and same issue; -- my question is>>>is this a real issue of it(and what is it - remember that my device is installed and works perfectely); >>>OR this is ALL THIS BOX CAN DO--I mean FW410 has a cheap audio recordind signal and sound.......... SO, PLEASE elucidate for me THIS problem/mistery....couse I'm tired of it, it brought me down...IT really worth the effort, or I should get out of it (even it's OK and seem to work perfectely on the other hand)??? thanks anticipated,Boan |

Hi,
i,ve just tried to get my Firewire 410 going.No Luck.I installed the drivers supplied..I have Max OSx 10.4.10, so i am Hoping it is just a driver issue and I can download the appropriate driver from M Audio.I read your rave regarding noise issues with your Firewire 410 and I am keen to know if you have resolved the problem.I to want clean signal..do you know of any good links to Firewire 410 info? I use Cubase SX3.. Good luck with your 410 and please let me know if the thing works cheeers |

Note: Mac daddy,tweedmusic, piss off with this useless and raved reply- it doesn;t use to nobody. I POSTED HERE to be helped, not to listen that raved shat. And I have this problem with it since 4 month, in order that I know this FW 410 like my hand/only that I can't open its case couse I lose guarantee. It/drivers/device works very well at me(I am more advanced), so I've passed this "software issues" much time ago and I verified the cables and imputs too!!!- I'm talking about HARWARE(I KNOW IT"S something about PREAPS)!
Don;t tell me I tell raves!  Please anyone,only WHO REALLY KNOW this DEVICE, help me with this hardware problem!>> the topic continue!! I bought this device from Av Audio Sys Romania(which is only a Importer, not a M-Audio Representantion). But I think this doesn't matter a bit, couse they aren't wanting to RECOGNISE my problem AS A REAL ONE(the AV Audio sys director mr.Andrew simply wants only to keep my money into his pocket, and nothing else more)! THEY suggest me THAT MY DEVICE works perfectly(what a lie, isn't it) and they refuse to repair, compare or change my Firewire 410 with another one. PLEASE tell me, WHAT can I do in this situation---couse I focused on the help of the other countries Representantion, but in this case is useless on working with that kind of man like AV Audio sys ones). thanks anticipated, Boan.
