Hi there!
I have a big problem with Firewire 410! The MOST important thing about it-->audio recordind/mic preamps, is "falling down"! WHY????......couse: I expected that this device to record very clear audio tracks, so I to be able to gain them software WITHOUT the big noise gathered with it.... So, I've got a Studio Projects B1 microphone that works perfectely with Fast Track Pro preamps(even when GAIN KNOBS are max pozition), BUT with Firewire 410 it's almost exactely vice versa: --When I recording it or even I talk to the mic with gain, THIS GAIN has a tinkle sound signal gathered with my speaking/recording....this stuff behave like would be the device signal-to- noise "quality"; --I made all tests I could (Cubase SX2 audio, Sony Sound Forge, Cakewalk, even real time talking), but all the same---looks like "its higher quality signal sound"!!! I tested with another mic and same issue; -- my question is>>>is this a real issue of it(and what is it - remember that my device is installed and works perfectely); >>>OR this is ALL THIS BOX CAN DO--I mean FW410 has a cheap audio recordind signal and sound.......... SO, PLEASE elucidate for me THIS problem/mistery....couse I'm tired of it, it brought me down...IT really worth the effort, or I should get out of it (even it's OK and seem to work perfectely on the other hand)??? thanks anticipated,Boan |

Anduuu, we get what you're saying, but please ease up on the "Red".
I think you got it when you mention the word "Cheap". I don't wish to offend any members who are using FireWire 410 and are getting good "Entry Level" Quality. Hey, if you can do it cool, but you usually get what you pay for. Most members have a secret yearning to make a lot of money with even just one of our songs. It can happen any number of was, too many to imagine actually, but it's usually, Good "Connection" in the Music Business. Luck. Lastly, but most importantly is. The music. Hopefully the music will be good, but more the the Plug-Ins, blah-blah. The musicianship has to be at least "Good" but the "Sonics" reaching the Listener must be perfect. It pays to wait and save your money and buy Professional... So what if you have to wait to get your system running properly. Instead of spending 200 whatever countries money, it's better to spend double that or more to get a Professional Interface. The worst thing that can happen is your sound is bad. It can happen with a Professional one as well, but, it will be rare if ever and it can be repaired. Electronic Gear out of China, might not even be around in six months. Most important is knowing you have good gear. You are proud of it and not making excuses and apologizing for the cracks, pops, drop-off's, drop-out's, that burning smell, etc. Buy good, you buy once, unless you upgrade Big Money Gear, which I would venture to say not many would have such gear, I hope I'm wrong as I hope we have some Professional Studio Members, but I think this site is for Home Studio mostly? If I'm wrong I apologize. Most Professional Studios are making money not hanging out in Forums. If they are they will soon be closed. In closing Grasshopper you have amazed me by grabbing the peeble from my hand and have learned the important lesson. "Don't buy crap" |
