I've been running Pro Tools 7 on my old 15" Powerbook G4, and everything worked fine. I recently switched to the new Mac Pro quad 3.0 GHz 2 GB ram, Mac OS 10.4.8- and tried to install PT 7. The installation went fine (twice), but when I try to run PT the screen greys out and says I have to resart my comp. Is this a compatibility issue with the mac pro?
Or maybe something to do with my syncing with my powerbook when I set up the mac pro? |

10.4.8 is the recommended OS for ProTools at the moment. You may need to wipe / reinstall your Mac to get it back to this version. You can still get an Intel Combo update for this from Apple:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/mac...pdateintel.html As you have ProTools 7.1 you should update to ProTools M-Powered 7.1.1 for Intel based Macs: http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?navid=...p;categoryid=36 Hopefully this will sort you out. ProTools 7.3 would obviously be better still, but those Digidesign misers made this a paid update so at the very least you should check that your Mbox is working before forking out the cash. -------------------- www.myspace.com/commercialmusicstudios
