hi there y'awl
i am a returned (from a protools mission) logic user and am muddling around with the ole Logic Express 7.0. So far I have managed to record a lot of kontact midi stuff which is all rocking along great guns, but i wanted to do some vocals with the inbuilt mic (i have a macbook) and went over to the little I/O button on the side, but when i press it it just says "No Audio". As i mentioned i am a rather old hand at audio progs and have been in the audio drivers section looking at the "CoreAudio" settings, but there only seems to be a place for "Built-in Output" and mentions nothing about "input Selection" opportunities. If you could de-mystify my dilemma i would be eternally grateful. Just to clarify, i've tried deleting and re-creating audio tracks, and i tried different numbers of audio tracks (number 1 number 2 etc.). The output seems fine too.
Well, here's to technology!
Cheers

Dammit, you got there first.

System Prefs>Sound>Input - select built-in mic.
