So I had everything up and running great in Logic 7 and when I finally go to bounce down my mix from File, the whole program suddenly crashes. I'm running on a PowerBook G4. Any ideas? I'm totally stumped.

not here, my "Export..." menu is in "File" and always has , selection as midi, region as audio, track as audio, tracks as audio files, Song as OMF etc. Some may be greyed out depending on conditions. They are always there however. Strange..

Since the menu structure is hard coded in the Application itself, it should be that way always.

Do you mean to say the when you pulled down your file menu it has this list ............

------------------------
Song Settings...
------------------------
Page Setup.....
Print....
------------------------
Import....
Export selection as Midi file... (very strange indeed, it should say "Export > " here)
Bounce...

If so, your install has been damaged in some way. I'd try a re-install first if mine looked like that.

I have this same problem. I have Mac OS X version 10.4.8, MacBook and 1.25 Gt 667 MHz Ram. Im trying to use Logic Pro 7, but when clickin Bounce... LP crashes. In Help it said there should be "Export" in File menu, well there isn't, only "Export selection as Midi file"

What to do?

M

Try bouncing from the channel Strip then you can be sure what output you are bouncing from. The file menu bounce defaults to outs 1-2, I have an 828 and discovered that after bouncing an empty file( I don't use channels 1-2 as my Master fader.)

Also how much free space on your system drive?

Hello. I am having the same problem. And I have reinstalled with the menu still only saying "Export ...Midi", instead of saying "Export >"

Since the menu structure is hard coded in the Application itself, it should be that way always.

Bounce...
