Hello, Mac user here....I just upgraded my system to a G5 dual processor 1.8 gigs each and bought the Mbox2 bundle. Running Reason 3.0. Got everything hooked up, but can't hear a thing. I can see the song going, levels reading in Protools, but nothing is coming out of the speakers? My Rewire is set properly...no sound.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening. I'v try watching the vid, that came with the Mbox (Protools vids) but they don't seem to be solving the problem.

HELP!

On my antiquated system, it is necessary to have the speakers plugged in to the MBox rather than the computer. If that is indeed the problem, you may need to make sure that your output is routed through the MBox instead of "built-in audio thingy" or anything else you may have. You probably already knew that, but it was something that took me a little while to figure out. If you now have it working, I'd be curious to know what the solution was.

In my experience, all audio from Pro Tools must be routed through the mbox, so connect the speakers there.

Are you hearing any audio directly from pro tools ? That would be the first check.

2nd, have a look at the routing/rewire to pro tools...

Hope this helps
