Hi,

I had been using my US-122 with my intel imac for a month when I got a black screen telling me to restart (kernal panic?).

On advice from mac support I did an archive and install. Still no joy.

I am running 10.4.8. The same set up works fine on my girlfriends G4 laptop. She has 10.4.8 and the same driver 3.4.0.

Does anyone have any advice?

My guess is the new tascam driver is having issues with the intel chip.

thanks alot

Al.

Thanks for the reply! Real good to know its probably not just my computer/set up.
Is your audio fading in and out and distorted on any application? Is your midi working? Mine is.
I am thinking of just selling it, counting my losses and going with a brand that has good mac driver support and reputation. Unless our tech help friend above can help out.
I hear MOTU have a good name with mac...any thoughts?

cheers

al.

I often hear of the US-122s not working real well with some macs. I have NEVER had a problem with my Mackie Onyx & I understand that Spike is pretty ok. Motu is generally developed intially for the Mac as well so you can't go wrong there either. If you are using an Mac-Intel you really want to make sure that the hardware is compatible first as many interface manufacturers are JUST NOW starting to catch up.
