with driver versions 1.7 and up, i get a 1.5 sec lag when adjusting the volume via the volume keys on the number keypad. (Apple G5 2.3 GHz, OS 10.4.8)
if i have the m-audio control panel output pane open, i can watch the faders move one by one, from right to left. twiddling the level controller doesn't show that behaviour. with version 1.6 there is no noticeable lag - it works the way you'd expect. has anybody seen this behaviour? cheers phil ps. i posted this on the m-audio feedback site twice but got no response. |

I have the same problem when adjusting the volume with the volume icon in the Finder bar. I called M-Audio and they said that the volume icon is supposed to be disabled, but in any case I should use the level controller to change volume.
