Has anyone done an a/b test with motu896 and the metrichalo? How does the hammerfall sound against the MH?
just wanting to get some more feedback! For me a full protools setup is out of budget (protools mix etc).so thats out of the equation for now. I find that even though i have 1-neve mic pre i sometimes use the 001s mic pres,obviously for stereo applications,ie recording fender rhodes, stereo guitar synth,and even mono sources,guitar ,acoustics etc.I like the different dimensions in the sound this creates,therefore to upgrade the 001 would require equally good or preferably better mic pres.and or at least the ability to bypass then altogether without any (minimal)colourisation of sound. |
