I am about to buy a music software. Maybe Pro Tools, maybe Logic Pro 7.

Can Files made with Pro Tools be used in Logic Pro 7?

Is there an educational discount for Pro Tools as there is for Logic Pro 7?

As others have said, there are plenty of ways to get tracks from Logic to ProTools and vice versa.

I've just set up a studio with Logic 7.2 and ProTools 7.1 through an HD2 system with 2 192 interfaces. Its a real task, but you can run ProTools DAE tracks with access to your lovely TDM plug-ins alongside Logic HTDM tracks using Emagic's ESB.

Logic is getting much better, but the quality of the bounce output from ProTools still wins.
