I am about to buy a music software. Maybe Pro Tools, maybe Logic Pro 7.
Can Files made with Pro Tools be used in Logic Pro 7? Is there an educational discount for Pro Tools as there is for Logic Pro 7? |

Is there an educational discount for Pro Tools as there is for Logic Pro 7? It's always possible to take Logic sessions and transfer them to ProTools and vice-versa--but it's not much fun. Generally, I find that most of the people who mix records these days mix in Pro Tools, but I strongly prefer doing preproduction in Logic because the plugins are so incredibly great... The easiest way to transfer a session from Logic to ProTools or vice-versa is to export all tracks as audio files beginning at the very beginning of the song, so that you can simply import the audio into the other program and slam all the tracks hard left against the beginning of the song. I hope this helps. |
