Newbie Group: Members Posts: 8 Joined: 27-Aug 02 From: Skipton - UK Member No.: 7,175	Greetings, i have recently bought a Akai S3000XL and a Iomega 250mb parallel port zip drive. The problem occurs when i switch on the akai with the zip drive connected, akai says "waiting for hard disk ready..." and freezes, but if i boot from floppy, akai also freezes if i try to access the zip from the save pages.I have checked akai and zip manuals but to no avail so any help or advice would be well recieved. Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 351 Joined: 12-Aug 02 From: London - UK Member No.: 6,795	This "parallel" zip drive is probably the one that started shipping after the first generation of Parallel OR SCSI zips. That more recnt one is able to autodetect the bus and switch accordingly to SCSI or Parallel mode.
