hi,
can anyone please help me? my powermac dual 450 MHZ G4 was working fine with no signs of any problems. then i decided to open it up so that i can install a digi 001 pci card. i installed the card a few minutes ago and now the computer won't start? am i missing something here? what could have i done wrong? i followed the directions that came with digi 001 correctly...and now it won't power up? anyone have any ideas? thanks |

Try installing the card i different pci-slots to see what happens when you power up.
If that dont work - remove the card and power up - does it work? (the computer). If computer start fine without card: 1) Either you committed an error while installing the card - double-check instructions. 2) Your computer or OS does NOT support the card. IS the card meant for PCI-slots or PCI-X slots or maybe even PCIe (PCI Express slots) Check with DigiDesign. 3) The card is broken - check it out in another comparable MAC IF 2) have the card replaced with a correct type of card -- or 3) Have the card replaced with a functional card. ( check repairs or warranties ) Cheers: Dixiechicken This post has been edited by dixiechicken: Wed 10 May 2006, 22:13 -------------------- ==================
