I have a G5 dual 2ghz with 10.3.9 and a 14" G4 ibook ith 10.4.2.
I was thinking of buying some version of Logic Pro. Given the move to intel chips I am wondering what the best strategy is? I presume Logic Pro 7 would be available at a cheaper price given that it is made for older machines? If so, the obvious strategy seems to be to wait a while, buy Logic Pro 7 once there is a 'new' version available for the intel macs, and just content myself with being a bit behind the times. (At the same time, it might even be worth buying an 'old', top-of-the-range Powerbook, as I know Logic ain't going to work well on the ibook) |

Price didn't change, the install now contains both versions.
I expect both versions to be available for 5+ years, there's still a lot of life in the PPC line, I don't plan on moving to intel until 3-4 years after the dust settles. This post has been edited by gdoubleyou: Thu 23 Feb 2006, 23:40 -------------------- G-Dub
