Carte Son Et Carte Audio, Différences Options

Salut,

Je suis un peu perdu en ce qui concerne la différence entre Cartes Sons et Cartes Audios et la Traveller ou Fireface 800 qui font un peu tout; j'ai 2 petites questions.

Si j'ai bien compris la Carte Son c'est ce qu'il a dans l'ordi et la Carte Audio c'est le convertisseur AD/DA, et la Traveller et Fireface 800 font les deux.

1- Ma question concernant la Carte Son:
J'ai un Powerbook avec Logic et petit controlleur midi.
J'aimerais savoir si j'ai besoin d'une nouvelle carte son allant à 192 au lieu des 44 de mon ordi pour avoir un meilleur son sur mes compositions faite à l'aide de VSTs.

2- Ma question concernant la Carte Audio:
Ayant plusieurs synthés analogiques que j'aimerais enregistrer sur Logic, et ayant l'envie de m'acheter un Eclipse Eventide ou Kurzweil KSP8 qui possède des convertisseurs de bonne qualité, cela me suffirait à enregistrer, je n'aurais pas besoin d'une Traveller ou Fireface 800 en fait, vrai?

Pour clore le sujet voici ce que m'a répondu Kurzweil assistance: traduction: possible, mais pas recommandé à cause de problèmes sur ses drivers (faits par Yamaha). C'est honnête.

- Is the KSP able to be used as a sound card (latency issue for a Powerbook + VSTs in Logic) via its Firewire connection?

Yes however mLan support from Yamaha has not progressed as we would have liked and in the current state of the drivers there is substantial latency when using the KSP8 to track via mLan under OSX. If your goal is to use the KSP as an audio interface I personally feel you would be better off using a dedicated interface that itself offers ADAT i/o and then use the ADAT card on the KSP8 to handle connections to the interface. In that scenario there is very low latency and works superbly.

- Could the KSP receive 2 monitors, 3 analog synths, 1 midi keyboard controller, and be used as a sound card, A/D converter, multi- effect, compressor and equalizer?

Yes but with the limitations cited above with regards to mLan.
