Hi boys,
Logic keeps crashing. I've got a G5 dual processor power mac. I'm trying to play a song that has lots of audio and plug ins etc. but everytime it crashes as soon as it starts playing. Have I got the settings wrong? I wasn't sure how I should have the buffer settings and whether I should be chaning these for recording and then again for playback? I've tried playing around with these but I'm not sure what I'm doing and if this is even what I should be doing? Just read another post...should I buy an external hard drive?

Any ideas?

Jen.

Sure, 40 tracks is an awfull lot... even for a G5. Especially off one HD!

The update thing is strange though... Since 7.1 is a chargeable upgrade, it shouldn't update if you didn't install it.

As to de-frag: not really needed and potentially dangerous on a mac. What Onyx does is more day to day maintenance like rebuild authorisations, empty caches and pre-binding. Usefull and harmless.
