I need a recording device that I can take to musician friends' homes for recording. After recording a track I will bring it back to my G5-based home studio for mixing with tracks I prepared in GarageBand. I can't afford $1,200 or so for a new Powerbook, but I can plunk down $400 for an digital eight-track system. I have my eye on the Fostex MR-8 HD, which has phantom power and can record four tracks simultaneously.
Does anyone have any thoughts on doing that? When I put the workstation tracks into my system will they sync up time and pitch-wise? Thanks! |

My experience tells me if they cant / wont make it, forget it! are they paying you? 'Friend' is a very loose term these days.Make your own music ....java script:emoticon(':p')
