Hi guys, I just picked up a Firebox and Mackie Control Universal. I'm trying to hook everything together with a Yamaha Motif ES8 and G5 running Logic.
I'm confused where the MIDI cables go. Right now, this is how things are hooked up: Firebox MIDI in/out cables <---> Mackie Motif ES8 outputs TRS<--->TRS Firebox in This can't be right, because it seems that the midi cables on the MOTIF need to be in the mix somehow. Do I need an AIEB2 board for the Motif? What do I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Did I get the wrong control surface? I did my research, and the Mackie came out on top. Should I have gone for the 01X instead?
As for the sound card, did I make the right choice with the Firebox? |
