Hello, I was wondering what I should buy to score a film. I know that Logic just came out with a program for osx, which I want to but. Does anyone know the price for that? I wanted to know if Logic was efficient for scoring a film.

I also heard that I need to get a multi-track sound editor.
does anyone know of a good one for osx?

I value all of your opinions. I want something that is going to be optimal for scoring a film. I don't care as much about sounds as I care about versatiliy and something I can use to edit a professional piece of music.
I have Intuem right now, a very easy to use, simple program, but I want to upgrade to a professional program soon. Does Logic come with a multirack sound editor that would be proficient for scoring a film?

thanks for listening. - jeff

I just looked at the comparison chart- it looks like for scoring a film that GOLD does just as much as PLATINUM. I think Gold would be the best for me, not to mention it's cheaper.

But I heard that Logic Platinum won't be out for a month or two. IS THIS TRUE?!?!!? If so, will Logic Gold for osx not be out for even LONGER?

If so, then I might aswell get PLATINUM!
does anyone know an exact cost on it? it seems like it could be more than $750 ( though I hope not ).

does anyone here in the OSX section use Platinum for os9? I'd like to know how long it takes to figure it all out. thanks.

p.s. does anyone know of a cheaper film-scoring tool for osx? i've looked at bias deck 3.5 does anyone know how much that costs?
and if it works fine for film scoring and midi sequencing with my Roland xp30 sounds? thanks again - jefffrr444o
