Hi folks,
I'm wondering if anyone here already managed transfering a Pro Tools session (say TDM 5.1.3), via OMF, to a Digital Performer 3? I mean exporting directly from Pro Tools (no DigiTranslator, here). I always get errors, or when embedded, all audio files are extracted, but the edit part is awfull, ie one sequence is created for each soundbite, with only the soundbite in it... There is more than 400 different soundbites in the export, meaning more than 400 different sequences in DP! I tried almost any combination (embedded, force avid..., snap to frame grid, etc...) with no luck. Will i have to import/export again through a "real" avid system (media composer, here)? Damned... I can report the error messages, if required. Bye. |

Thanks Stuartpa for your answer.
Apparently, the version of DT included in PT is the v 2,0! I'll do more tests on tomorrow, with a standalone DT 1,0cs3 (the good old one), and if it fails again, i'll try to transfer through an Avid Media Composer, or a Final Cut Pro 3 (thanks firewire drives)... The strange thing is i can't find a standalone version of DT 2,0 along with the rented 5,1,3 Pro Tools... Isn't it installed along with any Pro Tools 5 Mix system? I'll all let you know what happended ;-) Bye. |
