hey,

Gonna need a new interface when I upgrade to a G5... I'm looking at the Edirol FA 66 & the Presonus Firebox. I'm using Logic 7. I know there's the thread regarding the Presonus, but anyone have an FA66?

Thanks,
d

Hi

I am also deciding between the fa-66 and the firebox. One thing the fa-66 has is a grounded turntable input, which has got me thinking about transferring vinyl to digital. To do this on the firebox will require a turntable preamp (thought i'm not sure how good the one in the fa-66 is in comparison to what i might buy).

Despite this, I have been considerering getting the firebox because i can find no reviews of the fa-66 online. One concern I have, though, is comments I've seen alluding to the firebox having "no midi" or problems with midi. I have an older Yamaha XG keyboard and plan to connect it through the midi ins. Is this not going to work? I am a novice in this game, but I plan to run both through a G5. Can anyone help?

Thanks
