Playing guitar is not about just having sound waves move through the air. It's about a person sitting down and expressing himself through an instrument that, through hard work and innovation, is an extention of himself. Guitar players love to play guitar for the sake of playing guitar. People who really love music love to watch the guitar player as much as hearing the notes. Music is a window to the soul of the artist. A machine will never replace that. It may still get used, but guitar players will never go away.
