Hi Folks,
Sorry if I have asked a question which has been asked a thousand times before....
I have a G3 266 on OS 8.6 with M Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard and Logic Audio Silver which works fine. I just inherited a G4 450MhZ on OSX 10.3.9. It seems Logic Silver won't work on OSX. What do I do?? The new fangled Logic Express seems to be less powerful than the old Audio Silver since it has only 12 audio tracks etc. (Audio Silver has 24 audio tracks). Can I run Silver on my G4? Would I have to install OS 9. whatever? or is there other software which would equal the power of Logic Silver????
Thanks in advance, Davie

So it would seem that Logic Express is far superior to Logic Audio Silver? Is the functionality "from another galaxy"? ie. more straightforward with less mumbo jumbo?

In my opinion, yes. And I mean the whole package - OS X included. Once you get used to OS X you never want to go back to OS9 again - and Logic Express is superior to Silver.

However, as stated earlier in this thread, your current machine is quite slow. So untill you get a bit faster machine (a second-hand G4 is still fine for Logic and OS X, but with more power) you might want to stay under OS9.
