Hi Folks,
Sorry if I have asked a question which has been asked a thousand times before....
I have a G3 266 on OS 8.6 with M Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard and Logic Audio Silver which works fine. I just inherited a G4 450MhZ on OSX 10.3.9. It seems Logic Silver won't work on OSX. What do I do?? The new fangled Logic Express seems to be less powerful than the old Audio Silver since it has only 12 audio tracks etc. (Audio Silver has 24 audio tracks). Can I run Silver on my G4? Would I have to install OS 9. whatever? or is there other software which would equal the power of Logic Silver????
Thanks in advance, Davie

Hiya
Hey thanks coldharbour. You'll be able to tell by now that I'm not really sure of what I'm doing. Thanks for your comprehensive answers to my questions. So do you reckon I should bite the bullet and upgrade to Logic Express? Does Express still have the "Digital Factory" stuff? - like timestretch and pitchshift? I had been under the impression that Logic Express had only 12 audio tracks, but now realise that it has 255!! The way the software was advertised gave the impression that a maximum of 12 audio tracks were available - BUUUT what they meant was that you could only record on up to 12 tracks simultaneously.(plenty plenty - even to record a full drumkit with bass) I had misunderstood this. So it would seem that Logic Express is far superior to Logic Audio Silver? Is the functionality "from another galaxy"? ie. more straightforward with less mumbo jumbo?
