I had some midi latency problems when using DP 4.52 and SonikSynth2 as a virtual synth library controlled by a PSR series Yamaha midi keyboard. When striking a note on the kb, the response sound came after the stroke of the key. I tried all the config menus and even tested another midi interface thinking that could be the problem, until finally, I came acress the studio hardware setup menu where you can change the buffer size. I found that at a size between 16 and 64 had an immediate response, but tended to overload the cpu (which makes me wonder why such low buffer values are even included in the drop down menu), while buffers above 512 would cause too much latency. Is this the right way (or only parameter involved) to correct this problem or do you have any other suggestions? Tanx!!!
