Hi, I have a PowerBook G4 with built in 10/100 ethernet. Only USB1.1.
I'd like to use Logic Node: I have an audio interface in my firewire 400 port (only 1 firewire port) but can daisy cahin from it - does anyone know how well that would work with Logic Node? What about if I bought an Airport Extreme setup - would that allow me a fast enough connection to a G5, or any other Mac? Any help on whether I can make my PowerBook use Logic Node much apprecitated! This should help...
From the Manual - page 382: The primary (“host”) computer can be a single or dual processor G4 or G5 Macintosh, equipped with a 1 Gigabit Ethernet port. Node machines need one or more G5 processors, and also need to be equipped with a 1 Gigabit Ethernet port (which is standard on all G5 Macintosh computers). _______________ It says all you really need to do is plug it in and turn it on... There are no settings... Need that Gigabit Ethernet to make it fly right, though... Airport Extreme is like half the speed of a 10/100 line... Hope this helps... Riverdog -------------------- |
