So, I think I'm finally ready to make the leap to a G5. I'm looking at the new 2.0 & 2.3. I'm not too concerned about the processor difference, and I highly doubt I'll ever have more than 4 Gigs of RAM, so for me it comes down to PCI vs PCI-X slots. In CDN $$$ it's almost a $700 diffrence. Getting the PCI-X also means upgrading my MIA to a GINA which is added cost... So, my question is: is the PCI-X really worth all this added investment?

Or should I just max out my RAM in my single G4 867? cool.gif

Thanks in advance,
.d.

Thanks for the advice...

i feel if i get the 2.0 i can invest more into RAM, and I'll still save money. I don't mind upgrading to PCi-X further down the road, but for now one purchase is enough.
