The Hardware: Powerbook G4 with 1ghz Processor and 1gig of ram, Mobile Pre USB , One stereo mic (sony)
The Software: Peak and/or Soundstudio The Problem: While recording live off the floor sounds cutting out. Sometimes just for a second...sometimes longer. I have tried both increasing and lower the latency rate but it doesn't seem to help much. Last night instead of cutting out...the sound started to skip like a scratched CD. Any Ideas? Thanks |

It's a 4200 rpm drive, VERY slow, the droppouts can be only the times the OS has to search data on the drive and the drive can't follow
It's better to have a firewire hard drive, 7200 rpm for the audio when you have a powerbook. Now It can be something else but it's an evident cause for me IMHO. -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
