I'm thinking about getting a home studio and an extremely low budget, and I was thinking about getting the following:
1) PreSonus Firepod-$600
2) Shure SM57s (2 or more for recording amps and drums)-$89 each
3) Studio Bonus Bundle B from musiciansfriend.com- consists of MXL 990 microphone, AKG k-66 headphones, Edirol M10-DBK monitors-$200
I am also getting an iMac G5, but that will be later due to my limited budget. I am looking to record many tracks simultaneously with fairly good quality. For a beginner, does this sound like a good set-up?
