WOW! Flutter? Why does an accoustic instrument recording (Vln, Vcl, accoustic guitar) sound terrible when saved as an “itune” file? Sounds fine when played with LOGIC 7 (Express) but when saved and played as an “itune” the flutter is so bad on certain notes that the file is useless. Not surprisingly, it is string pizz and, most of all, guitar harmonics which are the most noticable. Anyone have any suggestions other than not usiing “itunes”? Thanks very much.

It is probably due to the compression that iTunes uses.
You can set iTunes to import to mp3 at different compression rates - 128 kbps sounds terrible to me. 192 kbps sounds acceptable.
It is especially noticable in the high frequencies (as you have also noted)

If mp3 doesn't sound good enough try the other available file formats - AAC / Apple Lossless / AIFF - until you find a file format that you like.
