I think aif's and wav's take up more memory on a data CD - does this mean they are being compressed or losing something when made into audio CD's?
Strange things I've never known...
thanks in advance

nope. Audio CDs are puuure streaming digital audio, sample for sample.

But they will take up a tiny bit less space - no data file meta-data, no icons, no operating system .DSstore files, etc. etc.

Correct me if I am wrong
