Been trying to change pitch of a Apple loop in Logic Pro 7, but every time I try and process it,
it says " locked" I have tried to unlock it in the info window but still says locked, what I am doing wrong?

Don't you have to check your overall administrative ownership?
You know like when you're in NT and you give read rights to a user?Do you have rights to the folder the apple loop resides in?
