I am new to audio recording with computer and would like to know how to optimize my mac running the last version of osX for audio recording . Can anyone help with it .
What do I have to do to the system to get the best quality and the highest number of track and buffer size for recording ???

Hardware wise :

- RAM, and then, RAM
- Dedicated hard drive for audio, preferably fast (good IDE, SATA, RAID of some sort depending of your need and budget)
- Avoid kracks and demo software. (oops it's software)
