Cubase on the Mac is known to be a pig. It's a Windows program that works great on a Windows machine. It's always been crap on a Mac. I have it installed in the back of my cupboard. My honest advice to you is to cross-grade to something written on the Mac, for the Mac, like Digital Performer. I don't know if Apple offer a cross-grade program for Logic. Should be easy enough to find out. Dump Cubase before it breaks your heart.

And before any Cubase fanatics out there start up their flame-throwers, I have in my possession a personal letter written to me (not a standard form letter either) by Dr. Manfred Rurup acknowledging my complaints and apologising.
