Hi Folks!

I've been sitting on the fence for some time now waiting for OSX audio apps. Now that Jaguar (10.2) is soon to be released AND Apple recently acquired Emagic are my Core Audio dreams about to come true? It seems the potential for hardware/software integration is awesome.

I'd like some feedback from current Logic users out there (the PC users are probably bummed).
Eventually I'd like to record, mix, and produce demo cd's with mostly acoustic instruments and vocals.

TIA,
Mark

Are you using any programs now to record your music?

Right now I'm fooling around with Pro Tools Free under OS 9.2 just to get a sense of what's possible.

Years ago I spent quite a bit of time with a 4track making demos for me and others so I've got a pretty good feel for how to record and mix with the traditional methods but I'm a complete newbie to computer manipulation of audio files. I'm also a Mac fanatic and I always figured it was a matter of time before the two collided!

Little background: I've got a G4 450 DP with 704 MB ram & no sound card and a new FP iMac 700 combo with 768MB ram. The iMac is at home so I really want to explore the firewire/USB input and breakout box options. Right now i havent made any real financial commitments (other than the computers!) hence I'm sitting on the fence. However I very baddly want to be "Classic Free."

Thanks again for any input or comments. Cheers,

Mark
