Hello,

For a few years now I've been using Sonic Foundry's Vegas to do custom, non-real-time cross-fade between audio tracks in order to make mix CDs. I'm looking for an app that works similarly on Mac. I've tried Spark, but the crossfade doesn't seem flexible enough, and Peak doesn't really do it.

I think that Soundtrack might meet my needs, but I don't want to shell out $300 without being able to try it out. Reason may, as well, but I haven't gotten to try that yet, either.

Any suggestions what to look at?

-Steve

I think Jam (roxio bundle: Toast with Jam) will do you for what you need. It's got a lot of flexibility in OS X, except it doesn't support AAC.

Are you sure about Peak 4? Jam is essentially the same, as is Waveburner Pro, but the latter is not yet OS X. How about Traktor?
