My iMac became jerky as soon as I installed 10.2.8, and then refused to boot up at all. Apple says it's not their fault and sold me Data Rescue, instructing me to remove all data from my hard drive, then re-initialize (!!!!). Not exactly what one expects from a routine up-date to a computer that only ever seen licensed software, up-dates downloaded directly from Apple and that is only a week out of warranty (of course I had to pay the $49.95 to have my problem diagnosed - and still not solved!).

I am running a G3 450mhz desktop, with a GeForce 4, and all of these things happened, plus it REPEATEDLY froze! One day it froze 18 times on startup in a row, and I usually get about 2 or 3 freezes a day on a GOOD day!
But I still love it and I will continue to use it.
