ASSIGN CONTROL FROM A EXTERNAL MIDI CONTROLLER TO AN AUDIO UNIT. HOW DO YOU DO IT? "the manual" is very thourogh with explaining how to control the parameters of external devices from within the enviroment but is very vague on how to control the parameters on an audio instrument (es1 esx24 for example). it does say you can do it .. and the exsp24's manual has a list of cc's in it that the esxp24 responds to. Ive assigned the track and cc message from the oxygen 8 and created a fader in the enviroment that responds to the message and sends into the audio instrument and out to the sequencer. ive even created monitors at the beggining and the end of the cableing to verify what is being sent and recieved.
Surely someone can throw me a bone here. im desperate. ive been stumped on this for far too long. thank you in advance..

my system.... g4 powerbook ua700edirol sound card, logic audio 6 osx. oxygen 8

Man nobody has answered this yet? ive read all your posts as I have been searching for info on this same topic. It must mean that its not possible. I also got the oxygen 8. pretty much the same set up as you, different sound card. I make house music and am only using audio units as well. I ve figured out how to assign the knobs on the oxygen 8 to volume and pan in the enviroment but man would i ever love to know how to make them affect the cutt off and resonance and all them goodies on the es1. jesus maybe you should try a catchy topic name like free porn.. That might get thier attention.. I registered on this forum just to let you know you arent alone on this quest.. good luck and ill hit you back if i find anything.. MONOVERTE unsure.gif

Download the file below. It has 4 example logic songs on using external fader boxes. You will need to "import" the logic songs.

http://www.omega-art.com/logic/autodemo.zip

Also try:

http://www.revolver.co.nz/fadermapper/fade...er_100_demo.sit
this is a demo, full version costs US$49.50
http://www.revolver.co.nz/fadermapper/
(Fadermapper does not currently work in Logic 6.0 - 6.2.1)

yeah ive read the article provided. And it shed some light however nothing that I was able to dig up here or elsewhere was written specifically for those of us who use only vsts and au's and how to get the most out of them in the enviroment. werd up.

ps.. I dont remember specifically adressing you the question but thanks for your cheeky response tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
