What OS are you using? OS 9 or OS X.

Use stuffit Expander, available for free from http://www.stuffit.com/mac/index.html to uncompress the .sit file.
Then for:

OS 9
place this uncompressed file in your VstPlugIns folder in your cubase folder.

or

OS X
place the file in Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>VST

Alternatively the .sit file may uncompress to be an installer in which case double click on it and follow the instructions.
