Hi All,
I'm looking for an audiocard to put in my mac G4 and i can use some advice.
I'm thinking of buying the RME Multiface8 but if anybody knows a better one for the same (or less money) and with at least 1 stereo analogue input and 8 analoge outputs and 1 spdif in/out please let me know.

Keep in mind that i will use the card to record the final mix so i want some quality.

thanks in advance,
alex

Well, I can't say its better but another alternative might include Digi001 from Digidesign. I have used this for a couple of years now and have no complaint about quality. Plus it comes with ProTools LE which (limited to 32 tracks) is really cool itself.

Another one to look at is the MOTU (mark Of The Unicorn) 828. This is a nice interface but software that comes with it doesn't compare to PTLE in Digi001. It was designed to work with Digital Performer though.
