Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP, Saffire Pro 40, Apogee Duet, Motu Ultralight mk3?
Do Focusrite Saffire new Pro series have good drivers? does it work with other Firewire cards than TI? I have something else do not know the name of it now. I like the Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 because of its price and features, it is way more flexible than the other. I do not need many outs and ins but if it is a good sound card for less money it is good. Please help me out! |

I've used the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP, Apogee Duet, and Motu Ultralight mk3.
the apogee is great for portability, and sounds terrific. the Ultralight has plenty of features at a decent price point, though quality control can be a problem and the mic pre's are not quite pro level. the Focusrite has a nice feature set and was reliable, though it didn't play nice with all software. fwiw. good luck.
