QUOTE (Yukulele @ Nov 19 2002, 17:57) Can you elaborate on the performance? With a "rich" MIDI setup (ie many keyboards & data & controlers going)?. Ummmm, no. Almost all musicalness going on around here (and it's not a lot at the moment) is still going through a box with nuttin' but OS 9.2 on it. I'm on music hiatus. I'm on a Ghandi-esque sit-down strike over the OS X mess. The only thing connected to the G4, which is running X, is a USB FastLane picked up cheap at the Mars Music going-out-o'-bu'ness firesale and a vintage Kurzweil K1000 SE Extended keyboard. That seems to be working just fine as paint, but it did with MOTU's beta USB MIDI driver as well. I have no idea what's different with the 1.0 brand; nothing that's obvious. QUOTE (Yukulele @ Nov 19 2002, 17:57) Is it a "full" 828 support (all i/o & functionalities)? What about the 896? Sorry, I have absolutely no information about the firewire audio drivers and didn't download them. Since I started this thread I *still* see people whining in other threads about there only being beta versions of those drivers, though; they obviously don't know that this thread exists. Somebody ought to clue them in that 1.0 is out so they can download them and smoke test them. I'm sure we'll be hearing more soon...
